Logística Somatrans is a road transport company whose path has been built from direct experience in the sector. What began with the first transport jobs progressively grew into a company capable of handling national and international operations, with a current fleet of more than 160 trucks.
Origins
A life connected to transport
The history of Somatrans is linked to a personal career in road transport. Francisco García grew up surrounded by trucks and learned early that this work requires presence, responsibility and real knowledge of the road.
His first professional steps came working alongside his father, learning from the inside the daily work of a haulier, the importance of keeping commitments and the need to adapt to every load, route and customer.
When the opportunity came, he decided to follow his own professional path. He became a self-employed haulier, bought his first truck and began carrying general cargo, national and international traffic and different transport jobs as new needs appeared.
That beginning did not come from a structure created behind a desk, but from direct experience in daily transport work. That way of understanding transport is still present in how Somatrans approaches every operation.
Over time, vehicles were added, services expanded and a company was consolidated while keeping its practical, close and transport-based origins.
From one truck to a fleet of more than 160 vehicles
From that first vehicle, growth happened progressively. Adding new trucks allowed Somatrans to increase its capacity and respond to increasingly diverse operations while maintaining a direct connection with daily transport work.
The company evolved from the experience gained on the road, incorporating vehicles and adapting its capacity to different types of goods, national services, international traffic and tailored logistics solutions.
Today Logística Somatrans has more than 160 trucks and a structure prepared to operate in Spain and Europe, without losing the practical vision that marked its early years.
